Can see yearning of dying society
Whence hearing about hostages of conscience;

To Ones daren’t risk becoming heroes
No matter how we ask
Worrisome of their lives and prioritized goals
Why should us try making them heroes?

To Ones daren’t resist the powerful
No matter how we back up
For the oppressed, for the crying souls
Why should us try appealing them as heroes?

Representing the people’s
Sufferings of so many years;
Low lives like the bottom face of worn slippers
We never made her our heroes
She emerged
She climbed
She did it for us
We never asked!

We marched for us people
1988, 1990 …
We celebrated her effort, still celebrating
We found her a member of our generation
We made her our heroine
She never asked!

Struggle for dignity now, everyone!
Humanity would come to us later!

Like torn pieces of fabric beside highways
Let the picture of our people seen on our faces
As we can See the future of us on her face

How she’s been praised with global graces!

Faced the enemies without

And the unobvious within

Whilst the aggressors knocking down walls and gates

The united strength! Be enough to break intruders!

Corruption and hypocrisy, whilst they raise insiders

As enemy, all the strength evaporates!

The precious life-giving water in the sky

Rising up! Rise of a nation!

Rise to the worldly heaven! The greatest vastest empire!

Draw the populace toward the glorious vision

Glorious clouds shouldn’t rain for minor interests

A fraction of population, must starve, must poor, must down

Wet Fire untamed or tame

Just an unrest name

Grew in water a son of the sun

Learning the art of cunning from slum

Who is a slum homeless or heartless?

Who is a slum junked or celebrity?

My name must see names greedily!

No money, no hope, no requisite

What guys like this suppose to be?

If all niches fall monopolized

If each inch asks uncompromised

Trees shed leaves for new

Sages shed wisdom for fool

The true rich shed charity for all

The slums I know shed heated meat

Rotting soon polluting water

Drying the fires- hatred marching

Along the water running

Know? A slum could sympathies?

Know? A slum would love in heart?

And know? A slum plays by the rule?

So I seek the cunning truth in use!

‘Cos don’t like be called Wet Flower

‘Cos was I born from the fire

Flares been shot to light ideas

Hope, will climb high, be nights clear

For those ones squeezed shedding tear

Dreaming along the rivers with splashing fish

Being disturbed by screaming ships

The flows won’t stop neither mine nor river’s

This fire loves water- waving harmony

Ocean, sea and my brain crawling steadily

Sometimes flows well, sometimes it’s stuck

Sometimes it stops, sometimes it’s fast

By the keep of veins, as a vassal of the earth

It floods, it flies, and it climbs into fleshes

Runs down the heights, jumps down the cliffs

Infusing invisible souls

Its goal is instilling for the zero

Not necessary to do thing right, think,

But bad enough to do what’s wrong

Heavy or light burden is burden

Low or high life should go on

For disagreement, given dead sentence

One thing alone left for the ignorance

Compete for greed endless syndrome

Dancing in the fire desire-fully

Which fire do you think- heaven?

I hate ‘the blank cheque for powers’

Holding and wearing targets

Welcoming the smoking guns hidden

Promise: short phrases, easy to ears then places

Opposite to keep them clear in gazes

By stimulating egocentric faith

Let the Earth grow stupidity

Those cruel who know the head of apes

Change them followers, lead to nightmares

By lighting the dark-side of ordinary

Let the smart know humanity

Some few who know the heart of hopeful ones

Enhance them to see lines: between skies and cunning slums

Politics is to win,

Since living with the bad and not the good alone exist

Let’s deal with politics

Rich or poor, which life is truer?

All know the answer, but who can read the future?

By exposing psyche from hot toxins

By launching pride and denial

By deepening roots of minus trees growing on hearts

Only the fools not weary to accenting thunders

Lots of credit but no culture

Cash in rich, just no treasure

So some do jealous for being feathers

Invest money, make more money

For more labour, invest labour

Investing life to no assure,

Instead, brain be invested to make future

Though no mean of cruelty

Many who have nothing to share, just to watch one another

Hopelessly, helplessly

Run out of any possibilities

Modern vulnerability of present societies

Let’s say they’re third countries

As injustice everywhere

Sakes for interests of big labels

Against the torturing voices

Denying wellbeing of the weaker

What will you say? As some see injustice

Other half think they must support it!

This must be a half-moral democratic

Peace: natural and artificial;

Building on torsos, peace for exploiting

Peace so ideal, peace of the cunning

Shaping their future, taking no duty

Forcing them suffer, ignore responsibility

Explode their lives, feed them agony

Digging their hearts, promise without liability

Mouths on dependability, hands in their heads;

Just trust me, future will be never better!

Impossible is what not possible, to know reality

If possible impossible and what impossible possible

For whom thinking so, fooling themselves forever

Be with frustration before being clever

No need to know everything

Don’t want to know anything

We come from the Northwest somewhere in a distant history
Whether our land then occupied or we occupied here
Didn’t cross a sea but along the rivers: Maenam, Salween and Irrawaddy
Mountains, plains and a lot of teaks;

Perhaps, we left the fertile North for more fertile sea
Whether then a sea was there but now with us here
We’ve loved our paddy, praised with tales and festivals
And learned to cross the Bangla Sea;

Broods of Mon-kind, peace loving Buddhists, we’re of the paddy
Proud of our shrines, and generosity, Indebted to ancestors, a race of dignity
They built certain kingdoms in SE Asia: Pegu, Thaton, Haripunjaya and Dvaravati
Once we lost, twice we lost, but we’ll rebuild a peaceful society;

let alone other to care

you can’t even care yourself

without money how can you grow?

money rules the people

enslaved the world

engraved its seals deep onto the heart

money makes culture

money makes everything;

many have destroyed themselves

with their own wealth

that they lacked good education

wealth always on their heads as the symbol of life and death

tyranny ruler they worship – mercy never be power

money is power, learn everything to make money

be after money, be always for money,

because money is the lasting dynasty
